Pour elle, faire un don la Fondation, c\u2019est une d\u00e9cision toute simple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Mon mari Rodney a soudainement perdu la vision p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique. Nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019urgence \u2014 puis il a \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9 d\u2019urgence \u00e0 Cornwall pour un CT scan (avec les sir\u00e8nes). Tout s\u2019est bien termin\u00e9. Mais avoir un CT scanner \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 aurait r\u00e9duit le stress, les d\u00e9placements et le temps d\u2019attente pour obtenir les r\u00e9sultats. Alors la vraie question est : aurez-vous un jour besoin des services hospitaliers en tant que r\u00e9sident de Glengarry ou des communaut\u00e9s environnantes? La r\u00e9ponse est tr\u00e8s probablement oui. C\u2019est pourquoi nous donnons. C\u2019est pourquoi nous voulons un CT scanner pr\u00e8s de chez nous. Et c\u2019est pourquoi cet h\u00f4pital est si important pour notre communaut\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darlene a vu Glengarry \u00e9voluer au fil des ans, avec des entreprises qui vont et viennent et une nouvelle vague de croissant r\u00e9cemment, sans pour autant perdre les avantages d\u2019une petite ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le changement ici est un travail en cours. On \u00e9volue lentement et on cherche \u00e0 attirer de jeunes familles dans la r\u00e9gion. Nous avons une bonne infrastructure, et nos \u00e9lus municipaux prennent de bonnes d\u00e9cisions. Mais ce qui rend notre communaut\u00e9 vraiment sp\u00e9ciale, c\u2019est son ambiance et son emplacement. C\u2019est une communaut\u00e9 attentionn\u00e9e et solidaire. Nous sommes entour\u00e9s de nature, de sentiers, d\u2019excellentes installations sportives, et nous sommes \u00e0 moins d\u2019une heure de grandes villes et du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Et au c\u0153ur de tout cela, nous avons un excellent h\u00f4pital local, tout pr\u00e8s. \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019avenir dans notre coin du monde est prometteur, tout en pr\u00e9servant les valeurs et le charme des petites communaut\u00e9s. Offrir des soins de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9, tant pour les jeunes familles que pour une population vieillissante, est essentiel pour concr\u00e9tiser ce potentiel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00bb Nous avons aussi ici des cliniques (endoscopie, soins respiratoires, etc.), et c\u2019est gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre excellent h\u00f4pital. Nous avons-nous avons un service d\u2019urgence remarquable, avec des infirmi\u00e8res et des m\u00e9decins attentionn\u00e9s. Nous avons des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles d\u00e9vou\u00e9s, des techologues et du personnel de soutien comp\u00e9tent. Nous avons une culture hospitali\u00e8re et une infrastructure qui nous permettent d\u2019attirer des professionnels de la sant\u00e9 et des \u00e9quipes qualifi\u00e9es. Tout est li\u00e9. Amasser les fonds n\u00e9cessaires pour acqu\u00e9rir la technologie m\u00e9dicale dont nous avons besoin et qui n\u2019est pas couverte par les taxes que nous payons est une responsabilit\u00e9 communautaire importante. Aurez-vous un jour besoin d\u2019un h\u00f4pital, d\u2019un service d\u2019urgence ou d\u2019un CT Scan pr\u00e8s de chez vous?
