Since we started our CT Scanner fundraising campaign, I have seen what Be a Healer truly means: a child’s lemonade stand, a mother, a son, and a wife giving in memory of someone they love, a monthly donor quietly giving what they can, coworkers sharing our cause, and local businesses stepping up because they believe care close to home matters.
Every act of generosity becomes part of a larger circle of care: helping give our healthcare teams at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital the tools they need to care for patients close to home.
That generosity has carried our $3.5-million CT Scanner Campaign beyond $2.25 million as of June 2026. What matters most is what that represents: trust, momentum and a community choosing to move forward together.
Our work does not end with the CT scanner. Medical technology changes. Equipment needs evolve. Patient needs continue to grow. The strength we are building together will help HGMH respond for years to come.

$250,000 Investment in Patient Safety at HGMH
Safer care happens every day at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital because of your generosity. You recently helped us reach a major milestone. Thanks to donors like you, we have invested $250,000 into patient safety through Automated Dispensing Units (ADUs).
These secure, computerized medication cabinets ensure patients receive the right medication at the right dose and the right time. They reduce errors and give our care teams the tools to act quickly and confidently. Your support already placed an ADU in the Emergency Department last year. We will soon install a second unit on the Medicine Unit to extend these vital safety benefits to even more patients.
$20,000 anonymous gift strengthens patient care at Emergency Department
The gift will help replace obsolete cardiac monitors with modern, portable technology that allows healthcare professionals to continuously monitor patients at the bedside and as they move through the hospital.
The Philips IntelliVue X3 is a compact monitor that tracks vital signs including ECG, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. It can remain with patients during transport, allowing monitoring to continue as they move to other areas of the hospital.
